The State of Qatar, which deeply cherishes the existing friendly and cooperative relations with Japan and is an important partner and keen interest in crime prevention and criminal justice efforts, is fully prepared to provide the necessary support for the success of the Kyoto 2020 Conference, HE Ambassador Al Emadi said .

For his part, John Brandolino, Director of UNODC's Division of Convention Affairs, who was appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as Executive Secretary of the Kyoto 2020 Conference highlighted the success of the Doha Conference in 2015 in bringing together a large number of senior officials and achieving an ambitious program that translated the Doha Declaration into executive action.
