HE Attorney General of the State of Qatar and the United Nations Special Advocate against Corruption, Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, and HE Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Nikhil Seth, signed a partnership agreement between (UNITAR) and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center (ROLACC) in Doha, in the presence of HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri.

The agreement aims to make Doha an anti-corruption training center. The UN Office, in cooperation with ROLACC, provides advanced training to more than 1,200 trainees from all countries, where 204 trainees are selected as part of the training program and this program lasts for two years.

The program aims to build a global base to increase awareness of combating corruption, exchange of information between experts and the provision of many new and distinguished experts worldwide in this field.

The Geneva-based United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has provided innovative educational solutions for individuals and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support action at the country level to shape a better future.

UNITAR was established in 1963 to train and equip young diplomats from the newly independent UN Member States with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the diplomatic environment. UNITAR also supports governments to implement the 2030 Plan.
