The State of Qatar participated in the Middle East Strategic Alliance (MESA) meetings which kicked off Tuesday at the headquarters of the US State Department in Washington, and will conclude today.

The State of Qatar's delegation was headed by HE Director of Policy and Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Fahad Al Khater.

During the meetings, the ongoing arrangements for the Alliance project in the political, security, military and energy spheres were discussed with the participation of the member states of the alliance.

The second meeting on cooperation in the energy sphere was also held.

The meetings were attended by HE Director of American Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dr. Essa Mohammad Al Mannai, as well as senior officials from the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Trade and Industry and Qatar Petroleum (QP).
