Under the title 'Arab Archives: Reality and Hopes', the celebration of the Arab Document Day is being held in coordination with the Arab Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ARABICA) for the seventh consecutive year.

The celebration underscores the historical importance the Arab League attaches to the Arab document, which preserves Arab national rights as the authentic base upon which the identity of nations is founded, and highlights the importance of the Arab archives in their cultural concept and their Arab national content, especially in light of the challenges for the Arab world which faces attempts to obliterate and falsify its history and documentary heritage.

The event will honor a group of Arab personalities and institutions that have made significant contributions to the preservation of the Arab documentary heritage.
