A cargo plane loaded with urgent medical aid provided by the State of Qatar through Qatar Fund for Development has arrived in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the context of supporting Iran's efforts to confront the outbreak of COVID-19.

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met Wednesday with a high-level delegation from the European Parliament chaired by HE Chairman of the Sports Committee of the European Parliament Marc Tarabella, who is currently visiting the country.

The State of Qatar participated in the ministerial meeting, held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly on safeguarding the achievements of 20 years of international engagement in Afghanistan to discuss support for Afghan women and girls and their access to education.

HH the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani took part in the opening session of the General Debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which kicked off at the UN headquarters in New York Tuesday in the presence of Their Majesties, Their Highnesses and Their Excellencies heads of states, governments and delegations and representatives of regional and international organizations.

The State of Qatar participated in the annual consultative meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held on the sidelines of the high-level session of the seventy sixth of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

A round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Belarus was held on Tuesday in Doha.
