The State of Qatar has renewed its support for the International Impartial and Independent Mechanism to hold accountable those accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria, stressing that sustainable peace in Syria can only be achieved through justice by ensuring accountability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of International Cooperation will organize tomorrow (Wednesday) a symposium on "responding to natural disasters", especially human-made ones. The symposium will focus on disasters caused by wars in general and in the Arab world in particular.

HE Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi held on Tuesday a farewell ceremony in honor of HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the State of Qatar Faizullah Kakar, and HE Ambassador the Republic of Liberia to the State of Qatar John Akel Ballout Jnr on the occasion of ending their tenure in the country.

HE Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elisabetta Belloni met today with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki.

The Arab League held an emergency meeting at the level of foreign ministers to discuss the latest developments of the Palestinian issue. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas attended the meeting.

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi received Sunday a copy of the credentials of HE the Republic of Nicaragua's (non-resident) Ambassador to the State Mohammed Mohammed Farara El Ashtar, of HE the Republic of Sierra Leone's (non-resident) Ambassador to the State Rashid Cisse, and of HE New Zealand's (non-resident) Ambassador to the State Mathew Hawkins.

The State of Qatar provided financial support worth 250,000 Euros to the Arab World Institute for the Arab world and football exhibition which kicked off on Tuesday in Paris and will run till July 21.

A delegation from the State of Qatar which comprised of representatives from a number of ministries, companies, authorities, associations and businessmen, held a work visit to Malaysia to discuss promoting bilateral relations between both countries in vital fields including economy, investment, development, trade and industry.
