Qatar Confirms that 5th Conference on Least Developed Countries will Support its Path Towards Achieving Development for Next Ten Years
The State of Qatar affirmed that hosting the 5th Conference on the Least Developed Countries (UNLDC-5) comes within its keenness to support these countries in their efforts to meet the challenges and obstacles they face to achieve sustainable development, and expressed confidence that the conference will contribute to meeting the needs of the least developed countries and support their path towards achieving development for the next ten years in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

In a speech during the ceremony, HE Canadian Assistant Deputy Minister for Europe, Arctic, Middle East and Maghreb Sandra McCardell praised the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and Canada. She commended the role of HE Ambassador Al Mahmoud during his term in order to consolidate these relations and enhance multi-field cooperation between the two countries.
