The UN General Assembly's six committees began Friday their meetings after the high-level debates concluded, with the state of Qatar occupying the vice chair position in the second committee (Economic and Financial Committee). The State of Qatar is also the rapporteur of the sixth committee (Legal).

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani sent a written message to HE Minister of Development and Investments of the Hellenic Republic Spyridon-Adonis Georgiadis, pertaining to bilateral relations and ways of supporting and promoting them.

HE Secretary General of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bruno van der Pluijm met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Belgium Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi.

HE Korean Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in-charge of Protocol Affairs Lim Ki-mo received a copy of the credentials of HE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Hayki.

HE Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Saif bin Muqaddam Al Buainain, who is head of Qatar's delegation to Somalia Partnership Forum currently held in Mogadishu, met Wednesday with HE Special Representative for Somalia and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) James Swan.

HE Director-General of the United National Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Li Yong, received the credentials of HE Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri as permanent representative of the State of Qatar to the UNIDO.
